Absolutdata won the ‘Paper of the Year’ honour at the 28th Annual Market Research Seminar by MRSI for its paperAlantis Reloaded: An AI-Enabled Insights Journey‘ under the ‘Theme: New Thinking, Breaking the Mould‘. The paper revolved around ‘What happens when research expertise meets Artificial Intelligence to create a platform for anytime, anywhere insights?’, introduced an innovative application of AI to assimilate, enrich and make accessible enterprise-wide data and past researches. It involved creating a bespoke knowledge-hive using proprietary ML algorithms and state-of-the-art IBM Watson APIs; training Natural Language ‘Understanding bots’ to mine unstructured data and building an intelligent search engine to make insights available on demand, creatively leveraging traditional MR skills. Effectively, years of past knowledge lost in nameless archives is now readily available to enable informed decision making and democratization of firm knowledge.

The 28th Annual Market Research Seminar, themed around ‘The Changing Face of Market Research’ aimed to inject new enthusiasm into the way business is done, the way Market Research is looked at and the way it drives business impact. Being one of India’s largest gathering of research and insights professionals, the event provides a great opportunity for intellectual stimulation and networking. Each year, many premier agencies submit original research papers around unique themes which then compete for the best paper award. Agencies or businesses who have addressed business challenges with a fresher and exciting perspective, emerging interesting methodologies, framed the challenge differently, brought in agility, used emerging tech to solve a business issue, new forecasting tools, submit their research papers. This year over 100 papers were submitted, out of which 7 were rigorously shortlisted for live presentation at the conference. These presentations were and ranked by a highly qualified panel of jury, after which Absolutdata was awarded the top honor.
